"My Ball and Chain"

4' X 4' X 2"
Oil on Canvas, Unframed

This piece I painted for my husband.  Life with him is truly an adventure.  Hopefully an epic.  He can be fun to brag about.

So the ghost ship crashing through the waves, upper right quadrant, has an anchored ball flying at you.  If you were standing in front of the piece you'd see the ball looks like a blueberry with a fish and a mermaid mirrored over it.  The  wake coming to the center from the boat has a man in white seal fur fishing from his kayak.  There is  a white seal swimming below him.  (My husband is a retired Navy SEAL).

Below the ship is a placid lake with a Genii floating over it via the mist.  To the right of her is a large cat glaring at her.

There are many nooks and crannies in this piece filled with, usually, femanine figures.  The lake spills into an icy crevice.  As we drip down into the warrior's shoulder we've gone through half of it and the other half is even more interesting.

If you want to know more about it, ask...
