Over the last decade I have been experimenting with oils on canvas. I had a professor once tell me that you don't have your first nice piece until you've done your thousandth (say that 3 times fast). She was talking about throwing pottery on a wheel but it's an appropriate metaphor for the humble approach I take to my life as an artist. You have to crawl before you can walk, etc.
